Looking back at 2019 and the main goals people set for themselves made me think. We really should be setting attainable goals for ourselves and I can’t be the only one needing a little help setting them. Find some help and inspiration below:
And if sticking to your resolution isn’t already hard enough, who knew you need to practice?
One of the hardest resolutions for all generations to keep nowadays is to keep off social media. This means quitting Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and so on. You’d be surprised how many social outlets there are today.
While a tough feat it will be, it doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s going to turn you into this perfect person or make your life any better.
Resolutions aren’t for everyone, this coming from the girl who has never made a resolution let alone stuck with one. Even lent as a kid was too difficult for me to give up Baby Ruth bars for a few weeks. So this year will be my first resolution and I am determined to follow through.
What is my resolution you ask? –> To de-stress
Now that my resolution has been picked, I need to figure out how to accomplish this. Wow, the inner type- A in me is going to have a really difficult time with this. So, what can I do now, other than tell people my resolution, cause that’s a weird phenomenon with competitive people.
First, I researched for my resolution and these are some of my favs: Psychologists Explain How To Stop Overthinking Everything, How To De-Stress In 5 Minutes Or Less, According To A Navy SEAL (I mean, if it’s good enough for a Navy Seal, good enough for me), & How to De-Stress Your Life in 2019.
So many of the articles and how-to guides I read repeated again and again about the power of meditation. Here’s hoping my next search for learning to not despise meditation because I am a person who never stops moving, yep, you guessed it, I’m a morning person too… helps.
A lot of my stress I’m sure comes from bad habits that I need to learn to break.
One thing I secretly find addictive to follow is all the different fake news scandals and now it all makes sense. 2020 will have plenty to offer I’m sure!
Speaking of things to indulge in, oh lord:
And these drinks, yum!
Regardless of what your resolution is or even if you have one, just remember to be grateful.
Have a happy New Year!
