Ingredients

  • ¼ cup almond butter
  • 3 tbsp sriracha
  • 3 tbsp rice wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 2 tbsp hot water
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to blender and blend, you can also hand mix this if needed however the almond butter can be thick at times

This Spicy Almond Butter Sauce can be added to a salad or used as a dipping sauce. Many times I make this to be used as a coleslaw dressing instead of using mayo and so on. It provides so much more flavor than a traditional coleslaw.

Ingredients on wooden board

We usually use our Ninja blender to mix up this sauce but you can hand mix this as well. Almond butter is typically pretty thick and difficult to get to a good smooth paste. The hot water helps this however. If you use fresh grated ginger I definitely suggest blending this, many friends of mine use the NutriBullet and LOVE it.

We made this Spicy Almond Butter Sauce today with plenty of fresh veggies! We used, green cabbage, red cabbage, peeled english cucumbers, carrots, peppers, and roasted peeled butternut squash. This dish was topped with a sprinkle of sesame seeds, surprisingly this does add a punch of flavor.
